Second training camp: German Football Association Coaching Method

Participants: 

19 football coaches and 130 children from Senga Bay. 

Budget and donor: 3,433 Euro from crowd funding and Equilibrium Foundation

Objectives and Activities

  • Improving coaching, football and personal skills and motivation of coaches and children.
  • Coaching of 19 football coaches in the German Football Association coaching method.
  • Training of 130 children (age 9 to 13 years) in advanced athletic, technical and tactical football skills.
  • Supporting local providers by using their services for accommodation, food and transport.
  • Sending and delivering collected or purchased new and used football equipment.

Results

  1. 19 coaches enabled to train systematically children in advanced football skills.
  2. 130 children trained in advanced athletic, technical and tactical football skills and increased personal competences and motivation.
  3. 1 played under 13 years match against talent team from the Malawian Ascent Soccer Academy with the chance for the 14 children to receive a scholarship.

  • Training of 100 children (age 9 to 13 years) in basic athletic, technical and tactical football skills.
  • Supporting local providers by using their services for accommodation, food and transport.
  • Sending and delivering collected or purchased new and used football equipment.

Results

  1. 10 coaches enabled to train systematically children in basic football skills.
  2. 100 trained children in basic athletic, technical and tactical football skills (age 9 to 13 years) and increased personal competences and motivation.
  3. 5 proposed talents for the Malawian Ascent Soccer Talent Academy with the chance to receive a scholarship.
